We celebrated Caleb's 6th birthday with a party earlier and it was a crocodile theme. This was my attempt at a crocodile cake. Then for his birthday with our family he wanted a volcano cake and that was fun to make. He is such a fun loving boy we are so happy he joined our family and can't imagine life without him. He gives the best hugs and kisses. We love you Caleb.

Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting is what he wanted the other little boy is Ben Millard. Josh loves the Millard family and so he invited them.

Can you guess what he got for his birthday. He also got money and is getting a guitar today.

Happy Birthday Joshua 10 years old. He has been a fun and wonderful kid. We are very blessed to have him.

Caleb loves his Jazz hat and was really excited. He was really bummed at christmas time when he didn't get one.

Happy Valentines Day, we made the kids pink pancakes that morning and had their gift bags for them. Jessica was still sleeping so she missed it. The boys got Jazz hats and candy, Haylee got a monkey and candy, Jessica itues gift card. It was really fun. Caleb is really into the holidays and loves it so much especially if there are decorations. I don't know about the rest of you but this holiday is fun, hard and busy. We made Valentine cut out sugar cookies the kids had to address their envelopes and valentines with the candy and then Haylee and me made her valentines for her class. I am going to remember this come next January.

Caleb playing basketball, he actually is quite good at this and really loves it. He is hoping someday to play for the Jazz.

Mike was lucky to be able to go home for his parents farewell. They left this past week for a mission in the Dominican Republic. The kids were sad they weren't able to go and they will be even sadder when we go to Utah and don't go to their house. Mike said it was a really special day. I thought this was a great picture with mom, dad, sister Cindy, sister Lori, and brother Ryan. We can't wait to see them again in 18 months maybe me and Mike sooner. It is hard for me to imagine because when they get back Jessica will be a senior in high school. WOW!

Yummy Hot Chocolate.

We went up to Snoqualmie Pass and went sledding. It was pretty cold but alot of fun. Tons of snow hot chocolate and snacks. Jessica liked it for a bit and then got cold and hung out in the truck with Caleb.

Joshua's new bike he got for Christmas he loves his new bike, Mike previously took him to REI to get measured and the right heighth. Christmas morning the kids woke up and Josh seemed a little sad because he didn't see it. The old trick was played and it was hiding in the den.

To be Lazy or Not to be Lazy

A couple of days ago we were getting a little frustrated over the kids and their slacking off. It feels like we give and give and they just take. Everytime we ask them to help do something we hear complaining. So Mike said to Josh, you are just lazy, and this was Josh's reply. "Just because we don't like to do anything doesn't mean we are lazy." At that point me and Mike just started laughing which of course mad Josh even madder. So the kids have the new rules and so far it is working out. No T.V. or video games, no friends, no computer, no phone, unless their beds are made, their clothes are put away, bedrooms cleaned and bonus room picked up. This is great that it came from Mike. I have tried these things before and it neve works but with him it does. YIPPPEEEE!!!!!

Happy Birthday Lori. I hope you have a super day.

I don't know about the rest of you, but my life has been so crazy and hectic lately. Between running Jessica to the highschool for games and practices, the boys in basketball, Haylee in piano and gymnastics with Jessica and not to mention activity days and scouts. A couple of nights a week I am having to be 3 places all at 6. How does one do this, you meet your husband in a parking lot somewhere and divide and conquer. Sometimes one of the kiddo's is usually late. We'll I am off once again to volunteer in Josh's class. I am really craving some me time.

I am trying to get better with my blogging skills. I wish there was a class that could offer on blogging. Kim I may be calling you. I want to know how to do cute headers and some cute fonts. The fonts you get through blogger aren't the funnest.

The kids and their Christmas Eve gifts.

Our Christmas Eve progression dinner with the Hatch's and Bender's.

Josh and his friend Andrew playing Army in the snow.

Haylee in the snowbank in our driveway, during a slow period of snow falling. Mike worked really hard to keep on top of the driveway.
The Christmas picture that never made it into my christmas cards. The photo places were really backed up, but I finally mailed them on December 31st. I guess better late than never.

The snow is beginning to fall and the kids are anticipating a late start in school. We'll late start indeed. Their last full day of school was December 12th. The kids have been out for 3 weeks. The big fun snow storm that lasted past christmas and paralyzed Seattle.

Making the Christmas Trees a Bowcut tradition, this would be the first batch.

The kids made their countdown chains, Jessica didn't make one but helped Caleb with his.

Cutting down the christmas tree notice the shorts it was a nice day.
