Bye Bye January and Hello February

I am glad that month is behind me. What a month. I first bummed my knee excercising, then we found out my dad has Melanoma cancer, and then I got swine flu. I am still recovering, from my knee and swine flu. My dad had surgery and seems to be doing okay.
Caleb has started his basketball season and is so much fun to watch. Josh wasn't able to play there wasn't a opening this year. Jessica is finishing up her cheer, we went and watched her friday night. She is really a cute cheerleader and does a great job. Haylee started piano lessons with a new teacher. Her old teacher moved away. It has been a busy crazy start of a new year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. My pre new year goal is to update my blog more frequently.

We celebrated Caleb's 6th birthday with a party earlier and it was a crocodile theme. This was my attempt at a crocodile cake. Then for his birthday with our family he wanted a volcano cake and that was fun to make. He is such a fun loving boy we are so happy he joined our family and can't imagine life without him. He gives the best hugs and kisses. We love you Caleb.

It's been a while since the last post. I will try and just recap the "happenings with our Bowcut Crew" in the next few days. We hope everyone enjoyed the holiday and check back soon.

Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting is what he wanted the other little boy is Ben Millard. Josh loves the Millard family and so he invited them.


Can you guess what he got for his birthday. He also got money and is getting a guitar today.

Happy Birthday Joshua 10 years old. He has been a fun and wonderful kid. We are very blessed to have him.

Caleb loves his Jazz hat and was really excited. He was really bummed at christmas time when he didn't get one.

Happy Valentines Day, we made the kids pink pancakes that morning and had their gift bags for them. Jessica was still sleeping so she missed it. The boys got Jazz hats and candy, Haylee got a monkey and candy, Jessica itues gift card. It was really fun. Caleb is really into the holidays and loves it so much especially if there are decorations. I don't know about the rest of you but this holiday is fun, hard and busy. We made Valentine cut out sugar cookies the kids had to address their envelopes and valentines with the candy and then Haylee and me made her valentines for her class. I am going to remember this come next January.

Caleb playing basketball, he actually is quite good at this and really loves it. He is hoping someday to play for the Jazz.

Mike was lucky to be able to go home for his parents farewell. They left this past week for a mission in the Dominican Republic. The kids were sad they weren't able to go and they will be even sadder when we go to Utah and don't go to their house. Mike said it was a really special day. I thought this was a great picture with mom, dad, sister Cindy, sister Lori, and brother Ryan. We can't wait to see them again in 18 months maybe me and Mike sooner. It is hard for me to imagine because when they get back Jessica will be a senior in high school. WOW!


Yummy Hot Chocolate.



We went up to Snoqualmie Pass and went sledding. It was pretty cold but alot of fun. Tons of snow hot chocolate and snacks. Jessica liked it for a bit and then got cold and hung out in the truck with Caleb.

Joshua's new bike he got for Christmas he loves his new bike, Mike previously took him to REI to get measured and the right heighth. Christmas morning the kids woke up and Josh seemed a little sad because he didn't see it. The old trick was played and it was hiding in the den.
